Courtney Cardenas - LPC

Hello and welcome. I am Courtney Cardenas, a Licensed Professional Counselor dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate psychotherapy and counseling services. I specialize in supporting individuals from late adolescence through senior adulthood (ages 15 to 60) as they navigate life's most complex challenges. My areas of expertise include grief and loss, trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and relationships, and marriage counseling.

With over 12 years of clinical experience, my journey began in a hospital setting, facilitating specialized grief support groups for older adults—a profound professional and personal experience that deeply informed my approach to loss. Having navigated my own journey through loss, I bring a unique layer of empathy to my work, helping clients process the multi-faceted nature of grief and learn to rebuild a meaningful life. Two years ago, I transitioned this foundational experience into full-time private practice to offer more individualized, long-term care.

My therapeutic approach is integrative and tailored entirely to your unique needs. I utilize evidence-based modalities including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and mindfulness practices. Growth and healing require vulnerability and hard work, but you do not have to walk this path alone. I am here to support, guide, and collaborate with you every step of the way.
