Ms. Jeanette Johnson, LPC-A.
My therapeutic approach is rooted in Person-Centered Therapy, with an integrative blend of DBT, CBT, ACT, mindfulness, and somatic techniques like yoga and breathwork. I believe healing happens not just in the mind but throughout the whole self—mind, body, and spirit—and I strive to create a calm, collaborative environment where clients can safely explore their thoughts, emotions, and inner strengths.
Whether I’m working with a young child navigating big feelings, a teenager struggling to find their identity, an adult facing anxiety or trauma, or a parent seeking support in their caregiving journey, I approach each person with empathy, curiosity, and deep respect for their lived experience. I believe every individual holds the capacity for growth and healing, and my role is to gently guide and support that process.
Outside of my clinical work, I’m passionate about holistic self-care and wellness. I enjoy spending time in nature, practicing yoga, reading, traveling, and exploring new ways to nurture my own emotional and spiritual well-being. These personal practices not only ground me but also inspire how I show up for my clients—with presence, authenticity, and compassion.
Thank you for taking the time to learn a little more about me. I look forward to connecting and supporting you on your healing journey, wherever you may be.
Hello, my name is Jeanette Johnson, LPC-Associate, and I’m honored to support individuals and families in a space where your story is honored, your feelings are safe, and your healing truly matters.
My journey into the mental health field began with a deep desire to walk alongside others through their most vulnerable and transformative moments. After earning my degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Freed-Hardeman University in Tennessee, I relocated to Houston, Texas, to continue my work with children, adolescents, adults, and parents. I’ve always been drawn to creating spaces where people feel seen, heard, and empowered to heal—and I feel incredibly privileged to be part of that process.
I have specialized training in a range of trauma-informed and evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). These approaches allow me to support clients working through trauma, anxiety, depression, and complex emotional challenges. I also have extensive experience in play therapy, which I use to help children express their emotions, build resilience, and feel understood in a developmentally appropriate way.
